Solo the part you are learning
Bring one instrument to the front and push everything else back. A guitar line buried under a full mix becomes obvious the moment the rest of the band drops away, which is usually the difference between guessing at a part and actually hearing it.
Mute your part and play it live
Take the guitar out and the track becomes a backing track with a guitar-shaped hole in it. The same works for bass, drums, keys or vocals, so the song turns into a rehearsal for whatever you play.
Low bleed, so the isolation is usable
Separation quality is the whole game with stems — a vocal take with the snare still ringing through it is not much use for practice. SheetMuse targets low bleed between parts so a soloed instrument stays clean enough to learn from.
Mix the stems, not just mute them
Every part has its own level, so you can leave the drums quiet rather than gone, keep a guide vocal low in the mix, or build the exact balance you want to rehearse against.
